FAQ Mine Rush
Does the practice AI know where the mines are?
No. It reads only the numbers on cells it has opened, its own flags and the mine total, and its moves pass through the same rules as yours, freezes included. Levels change its thinking time, how often it misses a sure move (about 33%, 27% and 10%) and how often a guess goes to the safest-looking cell rather than a random one (about 24%, 39% and 76%).
Why do both progress bars start above 0%?
Progress is opened safe cells out of all safe cells (88 with 20 mines), and it includes the shared starting area of 12 to 20 cells.
Can I play Today's minefield more than once?
Yes. Only your best score of the day is kept, and the board changes at midnight Korea time (15:00 UTC). A run ends early if the AI clears its board first.
Why didn't tapping a number open anything?
A chord only works when the flags and exploded mines around a number add up to exactly that number; otherwise nothing happens. In practice the chord check is on by default, so the first tap only shows a preview and the confirm button does the opening.
